Pottery Class

Renee at our first class. Renee with our teacher Clive...just like it says on the board....It is about 15 minutes to the end of class and Renee should be getting her idea of what to make any second now.

Renee's big bowl. Made using the famed "slab" technique.

My wonky vase. made with a wily combination of the slab and coil techniques.

Yes, it is supposed to be like that...it's art...shut up

Lorna, Renee and the stunt double for Clive the teacher. I would put her name, but I forgot what it is...she should have put it on the board!

Renee 'bout 15 minutes before the end of our second class...yes, she finally has an idea!

My pinch pot from the first class

Renee's "pinch pot" from our first class....I don't want to say "copy cat" but hmmm...hmmmm

My big platter from the slab class. Okay it is actually the big platter made the week after the slab class...after I accidentally smashed the original to bits

Lorna's little bowl

Lorna's bigger bowl...she's making up for lost time

2.5 hours of working on a wheel, and this is my equivalent to "all I got was this stinking T-shirt". You lose the total effect of the accomplishment though, because it is 4 inches tall..in pumps...with it's hair spiked...

Lorna working the wheel....the big nicely made vase is Clive's, but the little one on the wheel is all hers! Apparantly there is this little thing called "practice"....

Compounding the errors. I put together to pieces of bad throwing to make one piece I will call "ART", and a Christmas present...sad, sad, future friend...obviously I have not applied the aforementioned "practice"

Renee and her best Chandler grin...she did not make the pots in the picture...she made something ....
